In response to the urgent need for coastal restoration following hurricanes Ian and Nicole, Terra Crafters Environmental played a crucial role in the ecological restoration of the FEMA Emergency Berms South project. Our team expertly planted over 322,000 sea oats and a variety of dune diversity species, substantially reinforcing the newly constructed dunes by Phillips and Jordan. Additionally, we installed over 30.000 feet of post and rope barriers to protect these vital dunes, helping to stabilize the coastline and safeguard local habitats against future storm impacts.

The Greater Tampa Bay Area Council, Boy Scouts of America engaged Terra Crafters Environmental in 2023 to assist in our efforts and to provide management for the Alafia River Mitigation Bank. For the Hueland Pond project at Wiregrass Ranch CDD, Terra Crafters Environmental tackled the challenge of removing invasive cogon grass and torpedo grass, which had overwhelmed the ecosystem. After extensive treatment and biomass removal, we successfully replanted the area to meet mitigation pond requirements. Our continued maintenance has transformed the pond into a thriving habitat, showcasing our dedication to restoring and preserving natural environments for community enjoyment and ecological balance. This project is a testament to our expertise in managing and revitalizing aquatic landscapes.

At 4G Ranch in Pasco County, FL, Terra Crafters Environmental manages a comprehensive aquatic vegetation control program across 15 constructed water reuse cells. Our state-certified applicators perform monthly herbicide treatments to manage nuisance and exotic vegetation, ensuring compliance with environmental permits. This ongoing project includes meticulous monthly monitoring and rapid response services, maintaining the ecological health and functionality of the water reuse system, essential for sustainable land management and water conservation efforts.

Central Pasco Beneficial Water Reuse Cells Maintenance
For GL Homes at Valencia Ridge, Terra Crafters Environmental executed a comprehensive environmental strategy from initial surveys to ongoing maintenance. Our team conducted thorough wildlife surveys, including for protected species like gopher tortoises and southeastern American kestrels, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements. Following ecological assessments, we managed the installation of native vegetation and oversaw the construction of protective features for newly established habitats. This project exemplifies our cradle-to-grave service approach, where we handle every phase from planning and permitting to habitat installation and long-term ecological maintenance, ensuring sustainable development and compliance.
